What to expect

1 - Palace of Versailles

After being picked up from your chosen meeting point in Paris, the day begins with a short 45-minute drive to the spectacular Palace of Versailles. Here, avoid the queues with your personal guide and begin your tour by exploring Louis XIV’s state apartments and magnificent Hall of Mirrors, as well as the magnificent gardens adorned with 55 fountains.

2 - Giverny

After your visit to Versailles, your expert guide will take you to Giverny through the picturesque French countryside that inspired one of the world’s greatest Impressionist painters. Enjoy the comfort of your luxury transport as you gaze out of the window at the green hills dotted with small farms. It’s easy to see what inspired artists like Monet. After an hour’s drive, you’ll arrive in Giverny and enjoy a lunch break at your own expense before heading to the Claude Monet Foundation (also known as his house and gardens).

3 The Clos Normand - Fondation Claude Monet

Join your guide to avoid the queue at Monet’s home and gardens. Start in the flower gardens of Le Clos Normand, admiring a variety of flowers. Your guide will tell you what you’re seeing, and you can even pick up a handy calendar courtesy of the Claude Monet Foundation to see which flowers bloom here each month. Next, visit his studio and stroll through the magnificent water gardens, where you’ll see the Japanese bridge and the water lilies from his Water Lilies series, among other paintings. After visiting the Claude Monet Foundation, take time to enjoy the village of Giverny on your own, passing flower-filled houses, browsing art galleries and stopping off at cafés.
